Australia’s Under 19 cricketers are facing disciplinary action from Cricket Australia after leaving social media comments that appeared to mock Indian fans during the World Cup. Prior to Australia’s quarter-final humiliation to India, opener Jake Fraser-McGurk — since sent home after being scratched on the face by a monkey — posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Quarterfinals, here we come!”
Several of his teammates then left comments on the photo in broken English, which led to them being accused of casual racism.
