The husband of a backyard beauty therapist has apologised to his wife's customers for potentially infecting them with serious diseases.
Lee Kim Tan was performing invasive surgery without any training but her husband said she just wanted to make people feel good.
Watch the video above She fled Australia after authorities swooped on the bogus beauty clinic which she had been operating from the back of a Springvale jewellery store.
Husband Sonoun Saing said the pair were deeply sorry.
"I want to say to those people who came to see my wife: I respect you, I love you and I'm sorry and I want to also say that I did not force you to come and do this," he told 7NEWS.
