Israel Folau’s crusade against Rugby Australia’s decision to punt him has had more twists and turns than a Transylvanian goat track.
But we are told that at least one brave decision has been shelved by the former Wallaby’s legal team led by barrister Stuart Wood, QC, and Macpherson Kelley employment law specialist George Haros.
According to sources familiar with Folau’s tactics the lawyers had at one point considered the possibility of adding Qantas as a defendant in its case.
Sinodinos was one of Turnbull’s most loyal supporters, as he explained to David Speers on the Sky News Australia special Bad Blood, New Blood.
So too was the former workplace minister Craig Laundy, who was also present at the event.
But they would have missed their man himself, perhaps by mere hours. Turnbull had lunch at the Macquarie Street club earlier that day.
