BBL08: Aaron Finch unavailable for Melbourne Renegades despite Test axing

Aaron Finch won't play for Melbourne Renegades in their Big Bash League match against Adelaide Strikers tonight despite being dumped from Australia's Test team.

Finch was this morning dropped for the fourth and final Test versus India at the Sydney Cricket Ground, but Cricket Australia have confirmed the opener won't fly to Geelong for the domestic T20 clash.

The Strikers, meanwhile, are without overlooked Test bowler Peter Siddle, who is Australia's 12th man at the SCG. Siddle was released for Adelaide on New Year's Eve and starred with a haul of 3/20.

The 32-year-old Finch was left out of the Test XI having scored just 97 runs this summer at 16.16 from the top of the order.

The maligned Marsh was cast aside after he failed to capitalise on a Boxing Day recall, going wicketless and contributing only 19 runs across both innings.
