FORMER Married At First Sight star Telverne Williams was walked out of a South Melbourne pub in handcuffs last weekend after he allegedly tried to break up a violent brawl, which left a man with a swollen black eye.
It’s alleged Williams was having a drink at The Albion in South Melbourne last Saturday night when a friend of his lashed out at another pub patron.
The scuffle became violent with the two men throwing punches at each other.
Williams allegedly stepped in to break up the fight but was escorted out of the pub in handcuffs where police took him to a nearby station to be questioned.
Victoria Police confirmed to news.com.au officers had arrested a 34-year-old Clifton Hill man at the South Melbourne pub in relation to an assault. No charges have been laid against Williams.
“Police attended the address just after 3am. The victim was spoken to at the scene and did not require medical treatment. The 34-year-old man was interviewed and released pending further inquiries,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
